8 Hour Pre-Assignment Training

The 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Course is the mandatory introductory training required for individuals seeking to become licensed security guards in New York State. This course provides students with the essential knowledge, legal responsibilities, and professional standards expected of security personnel before beginning employment in the private security industry.

Students will learn the role of a security guard, legal powers and limitations, ethics, communication skills, emergency procedures, and public relations. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate verifying completion of the New York State required pre-assignment training.
