What you will learn
Emergencies can happen anytime, and being prepared to respond effectively in the moments that matter, can make all the difference in saving a life. The American Red Cross offers Adult AED and First Aid CPR training to equip individuals with the essential skills needed to handle a variety of first aid and medical emergencies.
With a particular emphasis on cases such as cardiac arrest, this comprehensive course focuses on emergency response. By learning CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), participants will gain the confidence and knowledge to save lives.
The Adult First Aid / AED / CPR certification covers a wide range of topics related to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies that can occur in adults. The course provides participants with the training to recognize and respond appropriately to these emergencies. It also meets OSHA workplace regulatory requirements, making it suitable for individuals seeking training in workplace safety.
The training is split into two parts: an online component and an in-person skills check. The online course segment allows participants to complete the theoretical portion at their own pace, and the in-person skills examination provides hands-on practice and evaluation of the learned skills.
## CPR/AED Certifications
After successful completion of the Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification course - participants will receive a Red Cross digital certificate. This certification is valid for two years and can be accessed through the American Red Cross portal. The digital card eliminates the need for printing and carrying a physical training card, making it easier for participants to have their certification readily available whenever needed.
